It’s easy to reach Singapore from Changi Airport. The airport shuttle bus takes approximately 25 minutes and departs frequently for the downtown area. If preferred, the extensive MRT subway system is a great way to reach all of Singapore, the service operates from early morning to late evening. Public buses also run to and from the airport, making stops along the East Coast, Esplanade, and down Orchard Road. Taxis are readily available from Changi Airport; however, prices can be expensive.
Singapore Changi Airport construction began with land reclamation around June 1975, when the government recognised that the current airport could no longer cope with the capacity of visitors. The airport itself has since become the best in the world and provides a benchmark for other International airports.
