About Sinemorets

Nestled in the far south-east of Bulgaria, Sinemorets is a Black Sea resort village near the border with Turkey. It’s home to untouched beaches and a wildlife-filled nature reserve, which is located along one of Europe’s most important migratory bird routes.

Kick back on the golden sands of Bytamyata Beach or get active while participating in a variety of water sports. On the other side of Sinemorets’ headland is Veleka Beach, a sandy spit that extends across the mouth of the Veleka River. A short drive south is Silistar, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Bulgaria.

For a day away from the sand, follow one of the walking trails that lead through the Strandzha Nature Reserve, which encompasses temperate forests and landmarks of cultural significance. In addition to traditional wooden houses and ancient sanctuaries, it provides a habitat for deer, European badgers and golden jackals.

Getting there

Sinemorets is around 10 minutes’ drive from Ahtopol and just over an hour from Burgas. Burgas Airport is 1.5 hours away and has seasonal flights to destinations across Europe. Renting a car is the most convenient way of getting to Sinemorets and the village is small enough to explore on foot.
