About Sanchong District

The inner-city district of Sanchong brings the western side of New Tapei City to life with temples, parks and a thriving riverfront scene. Shopping malls and a cherished night market serve as popular local hubs.

Things to do in Sanchong District

Outdoor parks provide welcome relief from urban life in Sanchong District, with the most popular ones stretching along Tamsui River. Xingfushuiyang Park offers a refreshing spot for jogging and picnics, while Erchong Riverside Park provides 800 hectares of green space for flying kites and playing sports, along with a 20-kilometre bike path and seven ecological mini-parks.

Head over to Zhongxiao Wharf, where the mooring bollard posts create a splash of colour in the landscape, painted in brilliant hues and outfitted with wild duck-shaped wind gauges.
