Things to do in Prijepolje
At 1,734 metres above sea level, Katunic is the highest peak in the area. It’s part of Jadovnik Mountain and commands sweeping views over the surrounding peaks and countryside. A scenic hiking trail winds up to the summit. Pick wild strawberries and keep your eyes open for vultures, eagles and hawks as you hike.
The Lim River flows through Prijepolje and is dotted with family-friendly beaches, including a popular stretch of sand in the town centre. Mileseva Monastery welcomes you with a beautiful, whitewashed facade and scenic riverside setting. The Serbian Orthodox monastery was founded in the 1200s and is best known for the beautiful White Angel fresco painted by an anonymous artist.
