About Václav Havel Prague Airport

The Prague Vaclav Havel Airport is situated just west of the heart of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. It is the predominant international airport of the city and transports over 10 million passengers per year. The Prague Vaclav Havel Airport is recognised as the busiest aviation hub of the newest EU members.

The international airport is designed with four active terminals and a cargo transportation centre. Popular airlines including Czech Airlines and SmartWings have established their bases within the Vaclav Havel Airport, in addition to the smaller Wizz Air and Ryanair companies. A food court provides dining options to passengers and shops line the halls of the terminals.

The Prague Vaclav Havel Airport is served by buses of the Prague Public Transit Company to both passenger Terminals 1 and 2. The Airport Express provides additional connections to and from both of the terminals.

Prague Vaclav Havel Airport was featured in the popular 2006 James Bond movie, Casino Royale. The airport served as a representation for the Miami International Airport where the actual scene of the movie took place. Initially known as the Prague–Ruzyně Airport, the name was finally changed to Vaclav Havel in 2012 after exorbitant petitioning and civil debate.
