About Parvati Valley

Parvati Valley is an enchantingly beautiful region surrounded by rugged Himalayan peaks, some more than 5,000 metres high. The valley is peppered with charismatic towns and villages where you can soak in steaming hot springs.

Encircled by forested mountains, Kasol is the liveliest town in the valley. The village is set on the Parvati River and is brimming with brightly-coloured guesthouses and atmospheric cafes. Backpacker-friendly Tosh has a similar vibe.

Parvati Valley is a launchpad for some of India’s best treks, including multi-day Chandrakhani Pass. It takes you over a 3,650-metre-high pass and immerses you in the grandeur of the Indian Himalayas. The more manageable day trek to Rasol takes you up to a postcard-perfect mountain village.

The sacred town of Manikaran attracts Hindu and Sikh pilgrims from across India. The Paravati River thunders through the town and is dotted with magnificent temples and open-air baths fed by natural hot springs. The enormous pool at Sri Guru Nanak Ji Gurdwara temple overlooks the river and is known for its rejuvenating properties.
