About Oleta River State Park

Florida’s largest urban park, Oleta River State Park in North Miami Beach is known for its collection of hardwood hammocks and mangroves. A 400-hectare natural oasis, the park is great for families, paddlers, anglers, swimmers and mountain bikers.

Outdoor enthusiasts can soak up the view of Biscayne Bay with a kayak or canoe excursion through the mangroves or explore the 24 kilometers of off-road biking trails. Unwind on the picturesque beach or cast your fishing line from the pier. The park also serves as a welcome stop for long-distance paddlers on the almost 2,500-kilometre stretch of Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail.

Spend the night in one of the park’s charming cabins. The covered porches and picnic tables are perfect for grilling out with the family or spending a quiet moment stargazing. You can also sign up for a ranger-led hike through the nature trails.
