Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the world's largest convention centres and hosts hundreds of events during the year. Opened since 1959, the Convention Center has been at the forefront of attracting a diversified cast of visitors to the “City of Lights”.Reached by the Las Vegas Monorail on Paradise Road, it is in the heart of the city adjacent to Westgate Las Vegas.
The Convention Center one of the city's longest-running icons and has grown to offer over 200,000 square metres of exhibition space. Various consumer trade shows have their annual events here, including the Consumer Electronics Show, attended by upwards of 200,000 people. A huge variety of industry shows and business meetings take place at the convention centre, along with iconic sporting events like the NBA all-star game.
The convention centre lies adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip and is easily accessed on the monorail. There is a gigantic car park and taxis are readily available on major event days.
Over the years the Las Vegas Convention Center has played host to some of the world's most famous names. Muhammed Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson both had championship fights here, the Beatles played a concert in 1964, and the FIFA World Cup draw was broadcast live from the centre.
