Things to do

Houston Museum of Natural Science sits just north of Hermann Park and contains four floors of science exhibits. Exhibitions include “Mapping Texas”, which looks at the state’s development, and “Faces from the Southern Ocean”, which offers an in-depth look at Antarctica’s inhabitants. After exploring the collections, head to the Giant Screen Theatre to catch an educational short movie or visit the Planetarium.

Houston’s Zoo is spread out over 22 hectares inside Herman Park and features an African forest and the Kipp Aquarium. Take a ride on the wildlife carousel, feed the giraffes or visit the petting zoo for some hands-on animal interaction.

Are you a sports fan? Minute Maid Park is home to Major League Baseball team, the Houston Astros. This domed stadium has an electric atmosphere and provides a lively atmosphere on game night.

NASA’s Space Centre Houston is one of the city's biggest attractions and greatest achievements. Take a 90-minute tram ride around the center on an orientation tour, before making your way to the Starship Gallery to touch one of the moon rocks and Independence Plaza to see the NASA 905 aircraft.
