About Cobham

Cobham is a lively village built along a bustling High Street. Half-timbered buildings, red-brick townhouses and thatch-roof cottages lend plenty of historic charm to the town centre. Cosy cafes and traditional country pubs dot the High Street and serve classic British fare and local ales.

Visit Painshill and stroll around on the finest examples of an 18th-century English garden in the country. The park was laid out in the 1700s by famous Irish landscape architect Charles Hamilton. Cobham Mill dates back to the 19th century and boasts a picturesque setting on the River Mole, surrounded by fields, farmland and forests. The heritage-listed site is one of the only working watermills in Surrey and features a quaint red-brick façade. In summer, you’ll see locals cooling off in the river.
