Most football fans arrive by public transport, with the stadium located 3 kilometres from Lime Street Station in central Liverpool. Match day buses also run from the city centre, with the journey taking 15 minutes.
While Anfield Stadium has been home to Liverpool FC for more than a century, it’s allegiance isn’t exclusive. From 1884 to 1891 it was the home ground of Everton FC, the stadium’s original team. Understandably, the rivalry between the two teams is fierce. Both are staples in the prestigious Premier League, with fans taking wins and losses to heart.
