    Great Spot

Stayed one night. Check in was very fast and efficient. We got a room upgrade. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were nice and firm. We had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The food and service at the restaurant was fantastic, we were very impressed with the meals we had. The hotel is also in a great spot - close to the river and walkway and close to the shops and mall. Was a great deal for us to stay and we will be back.

    Enjoyed Our Stay

In NZ and doing as much as possible in the North Island as well as enjoying their accommodation with Hamilton Novotel our first stop on our ‘island dash’ beyond Auckland. The drive was pleasant as was the staff at reception. The option of valet parking was appreciated and at a reasonably cost, though was confused that vehicles still parked out front. Even though we had requested a king size bed we were given 2 queens beds and were simply too weary to bother about why that was or requesting a room change. Not sure what happened there but the beds were still very comfortable as was the room. From what we could tell it seemed to have more people there on business then tourists like us, but also seemed satisfied.

    Fantastic Hotel

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. the primary reason for the visit to Hamilton was to see the cricket between the Black Caps and England, the second was Hobbiton. I booked the hotel several months before arrival via the Accor website and made a stupid error with my dates booking a non-refundable room. I feared an expensive lesson, but the Indian call centre were brillian. They were able to transfer the money i had paid to the new dates. It helped that i spotted my error immediately, but kudos to them for helping me. The hotel was busy on our arrival, as both the England and Kiwi cricket teams were staying, as well as the South African Vodacom Bulls, who were playing in Hamilton while we were there. We arrived about 1pm but were given a very nice room straight away. The only negative I have to say about the hotel is the parking. There is no free parking anywhere near the hotel, and we elected to use the hotel valet parking, which was very good but the front of the hotel can be a a bit chaotic at times. Without exception, the staff we encountered from reception, through room cleaners to the restaurant were excellent, helpful and friendly. The hotel was ideally situated - a very short walk to the many restaurants and shops in the center, and only a slightly longer walk to Seddon park for the cricket. All in all a great place to stay, I would not hesitate to recommend it, and we hope to return next time England play cricket in Hamilton.
