More of a 4.5 start hotel. Just falls short of 5 star from other 5 start hotels I've stayed at. I think this is due to the old historical building it is. I thought 5 start hotels should have a bell boy to take your luggage. I think they operate the worlds slowest lift too as it was quite old (minor 1st world issues) However the room was pretty large and clean compared to other hotels options I've stayed in Amsterdam. Breakfast Food options for a 5 start hotel was not what I expected. Your better off getting breakfast from the many restaurants and cafes in the Dam. Stay here overall was pretty good. My room was large and spacious. Loved the free mini bar, however options were limited here
