Getting around Santa Catalina Island

Ferries arrive in Catalina from San Pedro, Long Beach, Newport Beach or Dana Point. The journey across takes approximately an hour, while helicopter services from Long Beach and San Pedro take 15 minutes. Motor vehicles are restricted on the island, making golf carts, bicycles and taxis the best ways to get around.
