About Lauderdale Beach

Extending from 23rd Street to the Earl Lifshey Ocean Park, Lauderdale Beach is a laid-back neighbourhood on the North Atlantic Ocean. It forms part of Fort Lauderdale’s extensive stretch of palm-lined sands, which are backed by sidewalk cafes, entertainment venues and recreational parks.

Relax on the sands of Lauderdale Beach or soak up the oceanfront views while rollerblading along the iconic promenade. At the heart of Lauderdale Beach is Loggerhead Park, where you can picnic in one of the shelters or let the kids run loose in the playground.

Stroll north to Vista Park and relax on one of the benches before continuing to the Earl Lifshey Ocean Park. Alternatively, head south to the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, a nature lover’s paradise renowned for its resident gopher tortoises and Terramar Visitor Center, which showcases Fort Lauderdale’s natural and human history.

Getting there

Lauderdale Beach is a 10-minute drive from the heart of Fort Lauderdale and is easily accessed by the number 11 bus that stops along Ocean Boulevard. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 25 minutes’ drive from the beach.
