Built in 1996, enchanting Lumilinna is one of Finland’s most magical attractions. The snow castle is rebuilt every winter and features fairy-tale turrets, soaring walls and cavernous halls. Just north of the town centre, Bothnian Bay National Park is a sanctuary for marine birds. The park can only be accessed by boat, with tours available through local operators. In addition to historic fishing huts, you can also spot Arctic terns, velvet scoters and ruddy turnstones.
