About Bakewell

Located in the heart of the Peak District on River Wye, Bakewell is a launching point for visiting the White Peak limestone dales. This traditional market town is known for its food, produce, breweries and the creation of the Bakewell Pudding in 1820.

Sample Bakewell’s famous Bakewell Pudding, a delectable pastry shell packed with frangipane and jam, at one of the original creators. Pick up a pudding to go at Bloomers or visit the tea room at Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop to have it served on tiered trays.
