LikedWhen we arrived unfortunately the pool had a leak and was out of action for a few days and only a small pool available. But this wasn’t a major problem as the sea was beautiful to swim in and only a few steps away from the pool. Breakfast was your standard buffet, lots to choose from, so great. Dinners were great, rather busy but it was school hols so to be expected, prices were similar to what you would pay in Australia so certainly more than I had expected even in local restaurants!

DislikedThey have a fab cocktail bar and the only thing that I didn’t like was the music 😝 90s boy bands played quite loudly. It really needed some more chilled out music and a happy hour, I believe it was the only bar without one and never very busy, possibly because of the music and prices. Which was a shame as lovely place for a drink.

LikedThe adults only section was fantastic, it made a huge difference to our stay to be able to choose whether we wanted to relax by the quiet adults only pool or engage with the families also staying at the resort. The adults only infinity pool is so incredibly relaxing, and the pool side menu was scrumptious. The beach itself was absolutely amazing, the fact you could walk out for 100meters at hip height water and look at fish was incredible. We saw clown fish and anemone as well as an assortment of beautiful fish only 50 meters from shore. The staff were very lovely for the most part, and accommodating.

DislikedWhen we first arrived our room was below par. We had booked one of the ground floor reef wing rooms, which upon arrival smelt incredibly rank, with an old musty/moldy smell permeating the entire room. The floor was very sticky and dirty also. We asked the staff if we could change rooms which they were able to accommodate, however it took ~5 hours for this to be arranged and only because we ended up having to carry our own hotel room items such as towels, hair dryers, soaps etc. from the old moldy room to the new room, in the interest of moving things along faster. Otherwise we would have had to wait quite a while at reception. Not ideal when we wanted to just shower and freshen up after our flight there. The new room wasn't too bad, however we were very close to the stairs and the front desk, so from around 4am every morning we could hear the resort staff shouting to one another and stomping up and down the stairs/slamming doors shut. We bought some earplugs which made it more bearable, but my partner had to go outside twice during our five night stay to ask the staff outside to stop yelling to each other. During our stay we also spoke to two or three others guests who were staying in rooms which had water trickling from the ceiling. They told us how they woke up in the middle of the night covered in water with their bed and mattress absolutely drenched, one couple developed a chest infection due to this and had to leave early. I also wouldn't encourage people to pay for the snorkeling experience out on the boat. The water is incredibly deep out where they take you, you can't see the bottom in most places, and the ocean is incredibly rough. If you are the type to get sea sick I would avoid this entirely. It is much more pleasant just to bring your own goggles or snorkel gear and spend time out in the hip height water. All in all it wasn't the level of quality I expected for the price, but we did otherwise have a wonderful stay.

LikedThe hotel room was clean. Breakfast at Lagoon Terrace was lovely. Otherwise, not much else.

DislikedEverything is extremely overpriced. You also have to pay for any additional activity like mini golf or hiring sporting equipment. The restaurants and shops are all extremely overpriced and the service is poor.
